AIA Carnival is Hong Kong's biggest seasonal event — thirty days of rides, games and harbour lights on the Central Harbourfront. We were asked for one film that could carry the whole festival: the scale, the energy and the family feeling, all inside a single minute and a half.

The brief
A live event gives you no second takes. Rides run on their own schedule, crowds move constantly, and the best light lasts twenty minutes a night. The film had to feel spontaneous while still hitting brand beats — safety, family, community — and work as both a broadcast spot and a vertical social asset.
Our approach
We shot across multiple evenings to bank golden hour and full blue-hour neon. A compact two-camera crew moved with the crowd: one long-lens unit for candid faces, one gimbal unit for motion through the midway. Colour was graded warm against AIA red so the brand reads in every frame without a single logo lock-up.
Hero film
AIA Carnival 2024
The full campaign film. Ride motion, candid family moments and harbour skyline cut to a rising rhythm, closing on the Carnival at night.
“It looks like the Carnival actually feels. That is the hardest thing to get on camera.”
