Two halves of the same brand — the electric G-Class and the AMG ONE — photographed across Hong Kong at night. No studio, no CGI backdrops: real streets, real puddles, and the city's own light doing most of the work.

The brief
Night automotive is unforgiving: reflective paint picks up every light source, and Hong Kong streets give you no space and no control. The cars also had to look like they belonged in the city rather than dropped into it — and both models had to feel like one series despite completely different design language.
Our approach
We scouted for locations with their own practical light — a mid-century bus terminus, a tiled shopfront, a hillside road — then lit minimally to shape the bodywork without killing the ambience. Aerials filled in scale. One grade across the whole set holds the series together: cool highlights, deep neutral blacks, colour only where the city put it.

Night series
Ten frames from the shoot — the electric G-Class on location in Shek O, the AMG ONE on street, plus aerial context.

“The cars look like they live here. That was the whole point.”
